I frequent Pia y Damaso in Greenbelt 5 when I want to have Filipino food with a kick. The restaurant is the perfect place to bring a date you want to impress.  Nothing says “Quiero conocerle mas (I want to know you more)” better than good food and good company.

Trivia: The name was in fact derived from characters in the book Noli Mi Tangere.  Gist:  The notorious Padre Damaso got Pia Alba pregnant while married to Capitan Tiago.  She died while in labor with Maria Clara, and so the story goes.
